Calling All Youth Poets!!!

Take you poetry to the next level. Citywide Poets is an intensive after-school writing performance workshop for dedicated teenage writers in the Detroit area Citywide Poets

 

 

 

 

 

 

Matrix Human Services is now one of the charitable organizations participating in the Charity Motors Car Donation Program. People can donate a car they no no longer want/need, receive a tax deduction, and designate Matrix Human Services to receive the proceeds from the sale of their car. If you are interested in participating in this program, go to Charity Motors and designate Matrix Human Services as your charity when you donate your car.

Osborn Business Development Center

Launched

 

Building a brighter tomorrow one opportunity at a time” is the focus of the new Osborn Business Development Business Center, which will be launched by Lawrence Technological University in February 2008.

 

Through a grant from The Skillman Foundation’s Good Neighborhoods program, Lawrence Tech is establishing the Business Center in order to create and strengthen locally-owned and family-owned businesses in the Osborn neighborhood in northeast Detroit. There will also be programs to encourage students to start their own businesses

 

 

 

Osborn Art Center

Thanks to a Skillman Foundation Good Neighborhoods Initiative Grant, The College for Creative Studies, Mosaic Youth Theatre, African Dance Works, Matrix Human Services, Our Children Count, Youth on the Edge… of Greatness, and P.E.E.P.S. will be collaborating to bring the arts to youth in the Osborn neighborhood.  Call 526-4001 for more information or visit the Center, Monday thru Friday, 4 pm to 7 pm, to register. Classes will be held at The Center, 13560 East McNichols.
